Ramadhan Hamisi (born 1990) is a Tanzanian artist who is known for his hyper-realistic drawings of people and animals. He currently lives and works within the capital city of Nairobi in Kenya.

With a conceptual approach, Ramadhan seduces the viewer into a world that expresses the continual daily passing of time in our lives capturing the intervals that break up the ongoing equilibrium of people’s lives. His drawings are distinguishable through his use of graphite, charcoal and pastel to radiate a cold and latent violence. Occasionally a truly magical and disconcerting beauty emerges and catches the viewer by surprise. Hamisi creates monochromatic artworks through labour-intensive layering processes. His art aims at depicting the inner soul and deep feeling in humanity that is not easily expressed using words.

He aims at depicting the inner world of the soul and its emotional depths that cannot be captured in words, only in the application of his charcoal medium.
