Musungate

Artwell Musingate is a renowned artist, labeled the South African artist to watch when SA hosted the soccer world cup in 2010. His works and exhibitions have since graced the walls of many galleries, corporate spaces and private collections in countries across the globe. Artwell now operates from his studio and gallery in the arty coastal town Knysna (Part of the lush Garden Route). His signature style is very recognizable. Artwell Musingate never shy’s away from social and political commentary (taking careful note to include the most poignant of newsprint articles in his backgrounds) but is most noted for his ability to encapsulate mood in his works, rendering his visual messages with beautiful captivating figures in vibrant colours and thick impasto strokes of paint.
