Famous Umobuarie, known as Fame Identity, is a Nigerian contemporary artist from Benin, who studied Fine Arts at the University of Benin. His work highlights social justice and the experiences of marginalized communities. He works with pencil, pen, pastel and acrylic to create detailed, expressive, storytelling artworks that focus on social justice, identity, and the voices of marginalized communities. His work has been exhibited in Nigeria and Internationally, including in the USA. He has previously won the Africa’s Digital Arts Competition.
Exhibitions include Reimagining Hope Art Residency (2025), Face the Past, Reflect the Future (2024), and Black History and Features in Los Angeles (2023). He has also been featured in publications such as Gumbo Magazine, INFOTRUST Nigeria, and TRT Afrika. Today, he continues to create work that highlights human experience and seeks to inspire change.
